  • Do you accept dogs?
    From 2025 we can accept 1 small/medium dog in The Roundhouse Our other cottages are pet free.
  • Is there a pub within walking distance?
    The Molesworth Arms in Pyworthy is just under a mile from the cottages, open for evening meals Wednesday - Saturday and Sunday Lunch (booking essential).
  • How far is the nearest Beach?
    The nearest beaches are at Widemouth Bay (8 miles) and Bude (8 miles)
  • Where are the nearest shops?
    The nearest supermarkets are in Holsworthy (3 miles) - Waitrose, CO-OP plus local bakers & butchers etc. There is a small village shop in Bridgerule (2 miles) for those last minute essentials.
  • Where are the nearest medical facilities?
    There is a doctors surgery in Holsworthy (3miles) Stratton minor injuries unit (7miles) A&E Barnstaple (33 miles)
  • Are there any restrictions on the use of the hot tub?
    For health & safety reasons, the hot tub must not be used by children under the age of 4. If you are pregnant or have the following medical conditions please seek medical advice first: - cardiovascular disease - epilepsy - skin conditions - immunosuppression There are no time restrictions on the use of the hot tub, although we request that if using it after 9pm, please be considerate and keep the noise down. Please see further safety information here
  • Are there laundry facilities?
    Yes. Higher Hopworthy Cottage & The Roundhouse each have a washer/dryer, rotary washing line and indoor airer. Kingfishers has a washing machine, electric airer and rotary washing line. There is also an iron and ironing board provided in each cottage.
  • Do we need to bring any bedding or towels?
    No, all bedding and bath towels are included, athough we request you bring your own beach towels.
  • Is the kitchen fully equipped
    Yes. Each cottage has a well equipped kitchen with kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge-freezer, full oven and dishwasher.
  • Is there a coffee maker?
    Each cottage has a cafetiere. A tassimo machine (plus starter selection of pods) is provided in Kingfishers
  • Is there any baby equipment provided?
    Yes, a highchair and travel cot can be provided for guests of Higher Hopworthy Cottage and The Roundhouse.
  • Is there storage for bikes, canoes etc?"
    Between April - October, guests are welcome to store any bikes or other equipment in one of the empty cattle sheds.
  • Is the fishing free?
    Yes, although you should provide your own equipment (barbless hooks and non lead weights please) and rod licence Please note fishing is exclusive to guests in Kingfishers.
  • Do you take card payments?
    Our primary payment method is by BACS but card payment can be arranged on request.
  • Is EV charging available?
    An untethered EV charger is available for guests of Kingfishers only (additional charge), EV charging is not permitted at our other cottages.
